    This lensboard adapter is used to permit
    small
    110mm lensboard to be used on the 4x5 and 8x10 cameras that normally use a 171mm lensboard.
    The larger 171mm lensboards take up a lot of space if you are traveling with a handful of lenses. It is so much more sensible to mount all of the lenses on the 110mm lensboards and then use this adapter.
