    Description

Antique Ambrosius Lamm Dresden Hand Painted golden Pheasant Art Nouveau gilt Plate
    【Factory】Porzellanmalerei Ambrosius Lamm (1887 until 1934), Germany.
Ambrosius Lamm opened his porcelain decorating business in 1887 and as a perfectionist only used items from renown companies like the Konigliche Porzellan-Manufaktur in Meissen. He mainly decorated the items in the well known 'Dresden', 'Meissen' and 'Kopenhagen' styles but around 1906 his speciality was the 'Alt-Dresden' decoration (which represents a special form of flower arrangements) as well as the wide area of Watteau-type decorations and mythology.
    【Date】Between 1887 and around 1915
    【Size】 24.3 cm diameter.
【Condition report】Excellent condition. No cracks/hairlines/restorations/chips/stains. There are total of 22 gold beads missing,  which is a small amount among the hundreds of beads, hardly noticeable.
Gilt is shiny and in perfect condition, any dark marks or imperfection are from the camera reflection.
A really stunning plate made by Ambrosius Lamm studio with art nouveau style border, it is decorated with two gorgeous golden pheasant, pink flowers with gilt foliage,  gilt plants, and sinuous curves. The center of the saucer has a raised gold gilt monogram with raised gold beads. The outer edge and inner circle of the plate are gilt and decorated with hundreds of gold beads.  What a gorgeous and extraordinary plate!
I have more items from Ambrosius Lamm that I will post in the coming months.
Please closely look at all the pictures because they sometimes give more detailed information. If you have any questions, please send me a message! I would be happy to answer them for you!
